GPC has its origins in the former CrossBorderRelations Foundation (CBRF), which has been active since 2003. Over time more than 300 students, (semi-) professionals and glocal-network partners have contributed on various levels within the foundation, through internships, doing research for graduate thesis, acquiring work experience and/or supporting us with their expertise. In 2013, the founder of CBRF decided to embark on an adventure in the Caribbean, so the board made the commitment to not only carry on the mission, but also to continue the work under a new name. We named the new foundation Glocal Prosperity Community. Glocal, because it represents the incorporation of global and local, which also includes our intercultural backgrounds and worldwide targets! Prosperity, because this is our principle aim. And Community because we believe in achieving things together! Together we can make a difference.
The transformation meant starting (nearly) all over again. GPC went through a reorganization and changed its mode of operation. Also, a new policy concept and plan of action were drafted. Furthermore, there has been an alteration in the board, which consists of volunteers, and at the moment we are focused on raising funds for the foundation and the acquisition of the ANBI label.
At this moment GPC is looking for all the willing 'creative hands and beautiful minds' available so together we can really make a difference in the world!
